INTRODUCTION
Our environment is constantly changing. There is no denying fact about it. Therefore, as our environment changes, there is need to become more aware of the problems that surrounds us. With a massive influx of natural disasters , warming and cooling periods, different types of weather patterns and much more.
People need to be aware of what type of environment issue our planet is facing. For instance, global warming has become undisputed fact about our current livelihoods.
Our planet is warming up and we are definitely part of the problems. Around the world, people are facing a wealth of new and challenging environmental issues everyday, some are small and affect a few ecosystem. While others are drastically changing the landscape of the earth.
Environmental issues are defined as problems with the planet system ( air, water, soil etc) that have been developed as a result of human activities or mistreatment of the ecosystem. environment problems makes us vulnerable to disasters and tragedies, now and in the nearest future. There are so many environmental issues .
1.Pollution
2.Global warming
3.Deforestation
4.Loss of biodiversity
5.Climatic change
6.Ozone layer depletion
7.Acidic rain
8.Over fishing
9.Green house effect
10.Land use.
GLOBAL WARMING
Global warming is an aspect of climate change, referring to the long-term rise of the planet's temperatures. It is caused by increased concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, It is also a gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earths atmosphere generally attributed to the greenhouse, effect causes by increased level of carbon dioxide, CFcs(Chlorofluorocarbons), and other pollutants. Global warming is the long-term heating of Earth’s climate system observed since the pre-industrial period (between 1850 and 1900) due to human activities, primarily fossil fuel burning, which increases heat-trapping greenhouse gas levels in Earth’s atmosphere.
CAUSES OF GLOBAL WARMING
The Greenhouse Effect: Is a natural process that warms the earth’s surface. When the sun’s energy reaches the earth’s atmosphere, some of it is reflected back to space and the rest is absorbed and re-radiated by greenhouse gases these gases could be water vapor, carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, ozone etc.
The Influence of Human Activity on Climate: human activity has influenced global surface temperatures by changing the radioactive balance governing the earth on various timescales and at varying spatial scales. The most profound and well known anthropogenic influence is the elevation of concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Humans also influence climate by changing the concentrations of aerosols and Ozone and by modifying the land cover of Earth’s surface. Increase in Average Temperature and Temperature Extremes: one of the most immediate and obvious effects of global warming is the increase in temperatures around the world. The average global temperature has increase by about 1.4 degree Fahrenheit (0.8) degrees Celsius) over the past 100 years, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

DISEASES
Disease can be seen as any harmful deviation from the normal structural or functional state of an organism, generally associated with certain signs and symptoms and differing in nature from physical injury.
A disease is a particular abnormal condition that negatively affects the structure or function of all or part of an organism, and that is not due to any immediate external injury (White, 2014)
disease may be caused by external factors such as pathogens or by internal dysfunctions. For example, internal dysfunctions of the immune system can produce a variety of different diseases, including various forms of immunodeficiency, hypersensitivity, allergies and autoimmune disorders. According to WHO, there four major types of diseases which are : infectious diseases deficiency diseases hereditary diseases (including both genetic diseases and non-genetic hereditary diseases), physiological diseases. Diseases can also be classified in other ways, such as communicable versus non-communicable diseases. Examples of Diseases:
Malaria
Influenza Alzheimer's disease
Ebola Heart disease
COVID -19
Sexually transmitted diseases
Cancer
Eye problem
Cerebrovascular disease
Malaria : Is a life-threatening disease caused by parasites that are transmitted to people through the bites of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes. It is caused by Plasmodium parasites. The parasites are spread to people through the bites of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes, called "malaria vectors. Malaria is preventable and curable.
In 2019, there were an estimated 229 million cases of malaria worldwide. And the estimated number of malaria deaths stood at 409 000 in 2019.
Children aged under 5 years are the most vulnerable group affected by malaria; in 2019, they accounted for 67% (274 000) of all malaria deaths worldwide.
Malaria causes so much illness and death, the disease is a great drain on many national economies. Since many countries with malaria are already among the poorer nations, the disease maintains a vicious cycle of disease and poverty.
Kinds of malaria parasite: Five species of Plasmodium (single-celled parasites) can infect humans and cause illness:
1. Plasmodium falciparum (or P. falciparum)
2. Plasmodium malariae (or P. malariae)
3. Plasmodium vivax (or P. vivax)
4. Plasmodium ovale (or P. ovale)
5. Plasmodium knowlesi (or P. knowlesi)
THE FIVE SPECIES OF MALARIA CAUSING ORGANISM
Two of these species- P. falciparum and P. vivax pose the greatest threat. They are likely to result in severe infections and if not promptly treated, may lead to death. Although malaria can be a deadly disease, illness and death from malaria can usually be prevented.
Symptoms of Malaria is an acute febrile illness. In a non-immune individual, symptoms usually appear 10–15 days after the infective mosquito bite.
Symptoms are; pain in the muscles or abdomen, fever, chills, fatigue, malaise, shivering, sweating, nausea, vomiting, headache, fast heart rate or pallor. The first symptoms are fever, headache and chills.
Malaria may become mild and difficult to recognize as malaria, if not treated within 24 hours. P.falciparum malaria can progress to severe illness, often leading to death.
Children with severe malaria frequently develop one or more of the following symptoms: severe anaemia, respiratory distress in relation to metabolic acidosis, or cerebral malaria.
Malaria is a global pandemic, Presently, it is more prevalent in developing nations which includes Nigeria. Although the government of Nigeria and World health Organisation is fighting it with every applicable means.

THE NEW NORMAL.
Before the year 2020 I only see doctors wearing face mask when they want carry out operation to protect themselves from virulent fluids and aerosol. In the world today face mask has become a dressing code.
The world is polluted with a dangerous virus which is airborne and contact borne.
This new normal way of life is a precautionary measure to contain the global pandemic COVID-19.
Many speculated that the frequent use of face mask could cause more dangerous health conditions in the future.

CAN PLANT TRAP AND FEED ON ANIMALS?
This sounds strange but science has some plants grouped as carnivorous plants due to their ability to trap and feed(digest) on animals or plants as their source of nutrition. Some of the plants includes
1. Pitcher plant
2. Mistletoe
3. Venus fly trap
PITCHER PLANT
This is a name used for a group of carnivorous plants that has similar leave modification for trapping insects , this type of modified leaves Is known as pitfall traps.
These plants according to Biology/Botany are in the family nepenthaceae and sarraceniaceae.
Nepenthaceae
SCIENTIFIC CLASSIFICATION
Kingdom: Plantae
Clade 1: Tracheophyte
Clade 2: Angiosperms
Clade 3: Editors
Order: Caryophyalleles
Family: nepenthaceae.
Sarraceniaceae
SCIENTIFIC CLASSIFICATION
Kingdom : Plantae
Clade1 : Tracheophyte
Clade 2: Angiosperms
Clade 3: Eudicots
Clade 4: Asteroids
Order: Ericales
Family: Sarraceniaceae.
MISTLETOE
This is a parasitic plant which attach itself on its host with its specialised adaptative feature called Haustorium. They use the Haustorium to extract water and nutrients from their host plant.
Mistletoe
SCIENTIFIC CLASSIFICATION
Kingdom : Plantae
Clade 1: Tracheophyte
Clade 2: Angiosperms
Clade 3: Eudicots
Order: Santalales
Family: Santalaceae
VENUS FLY TRAP
Venus flytrap is a carnivorous plant that feed on flies. It's opens its red coloured part that is very attractive to flies , This red part of Venus fly trap is steaky, with sensitive hairs and highly saturated with digestive enzymes. When flies perch on it they got stuck by the steaky environment while the flower close covering the fly and digestive enzymes are secreted to digest the flies.
SCIENTIFIC CLASSIFICATION
Kingdom: plantae
Clade 1: Tracheophyte

2.The government policy on foreign and local investors is fair and encouraging especially on registration of business
3.Labor is very affordable due to exchange rate and the National minimum wage.
4.Nigeria has many natural resources that be used as raw materials and Human resources as majority of her population is the young people.
Nigeria is the investors' gold.
click and watch onitsha the city with the biggest markets
.
Why Nigeria is every investor's concern.
The major challenges Investors have to face is Ethnic/tribal crisis and political Crisis.
Because Nigeria is made up of people with different cultural values, beliefs from the southern and northern part of Nigeria; It is very important that the potential investors need to study the human behavior in each region if not every state; it is vital as it can

Think Business Think Nigeria.
Nigeria being a country with a multi-cultural and highly populated country with over 200 million people is a business hub in Africa and a potential business hub for the world.
Nigeria has 36 states and almost all the states has big markets in their cities with varieties of products.
If you need to invest locally or international you must think about Nigeria.
To see the list of all the states in Nigeria and their major cities with big market size click.
2.Nigeria like any other nation is facing economic crisis especially during the global pandemic (Covid-19) . So the country 'opened the door very wide' to investors both local and international to help improve the country's economy. To encourage investors the government made businesses registration very easy for all investors and funds available for local investors also made custom duty free for heavy industrial machines to encourage foreign investors to bring in their machines into the country with ease.
3. Labor is readily available and affordable: The national minimum wage per month is less than $75/month which may be very 'cheaper' for some international companies. Also because Nigeria has almost all the resources the industry may need it can establish its production in Nigeria and export to other African countries.
4. Nigeria is blessed with maximum human resources and countless natural resources. Some of the natural includes: Limestone, tin ore, iron ore, zinc, lead, petroleum, natural gas, waterbodies that connect to many countries, good land for Agriculture. Etc.
